I can’t lie, I’m actually a little stunned.
When Jordan Henderson arrived at Chelsea, I really didn’t expect to see him starting a Premier League game so soon. No one did, frankly.
I mean, it both shows how many injuries the Blues have in that position, and how much trust Xabi Alonso has in the former Liverpool captain.
And of course, it had to be against the side he left Chelsea for…
Don’t expect Henderson to get a nice reception from the Brentford supporters; they weren’t his biggest fans after how he acted upon his return to Anfield in the final game of last season.
I wouldn’t be surprised if many sections of the stadium booed his every touch, to be honest.
The question is: will Henderson be able to cope with the hostility?
