Brazil forward Richarlison has reacted to the news of Mohammed Kudus’ arrival at Tottenham Hotspurs.

The Ghana international joins the North London side on a long-term deal from West Ham United for a fee of 55m pounds.

Kudus and Richarlison have faced each other at both international and club level, with one of their previous encounters resulting in a red card for the Ghanaian.

The former Ajax star had a heated burst up with players of Spurs during their first meeting of last season, which led to Kudus getting a five-game ban as a resulting of his sending off.

However, the players seemed to have ironed out their differences with Kudus confessing he lost his cool.

“Welcome to Spurs family,” posted Richarlison moments after the announcement.

Also Spurs shared a video of Kudus and Micky Van der Ven, exchanging a cordial handshake as a form of pacification following their fallout from last season.

The Black Stars midfielder’s move ends speculation over his future after several clubs including Liverpool and Chelsea were reported to be interested in his signature.

The former Ajax midfielder enjoyed a decent spell at West Ham, scoring 19 goals in 80 matches across all competitions for the Hammers.

Kudus will join his new teammates this week for pre-season under the leadership of coach Thomas Frank.

His first competitive assignment will be in the UEFA Super League game against European champions Paris Saint Germain.
