Brandon Thomas-Asante is back in action after serving a three-game suspension for Coventry City in round 33 of the English Championship.
The 27-year-old was handed the ban for elbowing Norwich City’s Pelle Mattsson in a round 29 clash, an incident the officials missed but was later spotted on video.
After reviewing the footage, Thomas-Asante admitted he was at fault, leading to his suspension being confirmed. His absence saw him miss key matches against QPR, Oxford United and Middlesbrough.
The forward finally made his return yesterday as the Sky Blues defeated West Brom 0-2 away from home, where he came off the bench to replace Ephron Mason-Clark in the 78th minute to mark his first appearance since the ban.
Coventry City after the victory maintained their top-spot with 65 points and are edging very closer to securing promotion into the Premier League.
With the suspension behind him, Thomas-Asante will now aim to build momentum and work his way back into the starting lineup, regain his explosive form and make Ghana’s squad for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
