The charismatic and stellar young Mexican boxer Camila “La Magnífica” Zamorano (15-0, 1 KO), 18, defeated her compatriot, Perla “La Pulga” Pérez (9-10-1, 1 KO), by unanimous decision after 10 rounds in the main event of Saturday’s “Mexico, Land of Victories” event at Arena Potosí in San Luis Potosí, México.
The three judges scored the bout in favor of Zamorano, with scores of 97-93, 98-92, and 98-92, allowing her to retain the World Boxing Council (WBC) Atomweight Championship.
Camila Zamorano made the third defense of her world title and her first outside Hermosillo, Sonora. She is also a strong contender for Fighter of the Year.
Zamorano previously defended her championship against Japan’s Sana Hazuki in October 2025 and Argentina’s Claudia Verónica Ruiz in February 2026.
