Women’s boxing has never had more momentum, and a new weekly show is ready to give the sport and its fighters a dedicated platform to tell their stories.

Women’s Boxing Weekly, hosted by International Boxing Hall of Famer Al Bernstein and veteran respected boxing media reporter Cynthia Conte, will bring fans closer to the fighters, personalities, news and stories shaping women’s boxing around the world.

The premiere episode will debut on Saturday, September 12, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. PT, across all Global Boxing Network platforms and Apple devices.

Following the special Saturday premiere, new episodes will be released every Thursday at 5:00 p.m. PT, giving boxing fans a consistent weekly destination for the latest episodes and content across all Global Boxing Network platforms and Apple devices.

Airing each week on the GBN, Women’s Boxing Weekly will combine Bernstein’s decades of experience covering the sport with Conte’s energetic, insightful approach to boxing journalism. Together, the two will break down the latest fights, discuss breaking news and upcoming matchups, and welcome special guests for candid conversations and exclusive interviews.

Most importantly, the show will provide a consistent home for women’s boxing.

From established world champions and top contenders to prospects just beginning to build their names, Women’s Boxing Weekly will cover the sport from the ground up, giving fighters an opportunity to share not only what happens inside the ring, but the personalities, sacrifices and stories behind their careers.

For Bernstein, who has witnessed the evolution of women’s boxing firsthand, the launch of Women’s Boxing Weekly feels like a natural next chapter.

“I have been announcing and covering women’s boxing for decades, long before the ‘golden era’ the sport is experiencing today,” said Bernstein. “I’ve had the privilege of calling fights involving legends like Laila Ali, Holly Holm and Mary Jo Sanders, as well as current stars like Claressa Shields and Amanda Serrano. This show is a logical extension of that journey and, more importantly, an idea whose time has come.”

On October 10, Bernstein will be inducted into the Women’s Boxing Hall of Fame an honor that reflects decades of announcing, covering and supporting the sport.

“Women’s boxing has reached a point where it deserves to be covered every week, not only when there is a major championship fight,” said Bernstein. “There are talented contenders and young prospects developing all over the world, and their stories deserve to be told as well. Being inducted into the Women’s Boxing Hall of Fame this October is a tremendous honor for me, and it makes me even more excited about what we can accomplish with Women’s Boxing Weekly. We want to cover the entire sport, from the fighters people already know to the young women they’ll be talking about in the future.”

Bernstein is equally excited about sharing the desk with Conte and working alongside the Global Boxing Network team.

“I’m delighted to have Cynthia as my co-host and to be working with the team at Global Boxing Network,” Bernstein added. “Cynthia brings tremendous passion, knowledge and personality to boxing coverage. We are committed to covering women’s boxing from the prospects all the way up to the champions and giving these athletes the attention their accomplishments deserve.”

Conte has built a reputation in boxing for connecting with fighters in a way that often goes beyond the usual pre-fight questions and post-fight analysis. For her, Women’s Boxing Weekly is an opportunity to bring that same approach to a show completely dedicated to the women competing in the sport.

“I’m genuinely excited about what we can build with Women’s Boxing Weekly,” said Conte. “There are so many incredible women in boxing with stories that fans haven’t had the chance to really hear. Yes, we’re going to talk about the champions and the big fights because those moments deserve attention, but I also want fans to meet the young woman grinding in a gym somewhere who might be two or three fights away from everybody knowing her name.”

Conte believes the timing of the show is especially important as women’s boxing continues to attract larger audiences and produce significant fights around the world.

“This sport has grown so much, but there is still another level it can reach,” Conte continued. “The fighters deserve a place where the conversation doesn’t end when fight night is over. We want to talk about what they’re going through, what motivates them, the obstacles they’ve had to overcome and, honestly, let people see who they are when the gloves come off. I’m also thrilled to do this alongside Al. His knowledge of boxing history is incredible, and I think our different perspectives are going to make for some really fun and meaningful conversations.”

Each episode of Women’s Boxing Weekly will take viewers beyond results and rankings. Bernstein and Conte will examine the issues affecting the sport, look ahead to important matchups and provide analysis on the fights that could shape each division.

The show will also make interviews a central part of its identity, welcoming champions, contenders, prospects, trainers, promoters and other influential figures from throughout women’s boxing.

The goal is simple…if it matters in women’s boxing, it belongs in the conversation.

At a time when established stars are headlining major events and a new generation of fighters is emerging behind them, Women’s Boxing Weekly aims to document the sport as it continues to evolve.

    Every fight creates another story.

    Every prospect has a journey.

And every week, Women’s Boxing Weekly intends to give those stories a place to be heard.
