RJJ Promotions is looking to put on a seven-bout card at Legends Casino this Saturday night, October 3, in Toppenish, WA. The co-main event will pit Christian Aguirre (9-15, 4 KOs) of Salt Lake City, UT, against Gerald Powell-Wood (3-1, 2 KOs) of Spokane, WA, in a four-round super middleweight bout.

The main event will be a highly anticipated rematch between two Washingtonians, Devontae McDonald (8-6, 2 KOs) and Andrew “White Lightning” Murphy (13-0, 10 KOs), in an eight-round super middleweight bout. The two clashed in January 2024, with Murphy winning a unanimous decision by scores of 78-74, 77-75, and 77-75.

Since that bout, McDonald has been pushing for a rematch, claiming he did not get a fair shake. The Murphy camp is not happy about the McDonald camp’s claim that the decision was unjust.

The opening bell is scheduled for 7 p.m., and tickets are available at the casino gift shop. Heavyweight contender Chauncey Welliver will be the ring announcer. Both Roy Jones Jr. and Christian Schmidt will be on the call, providing play-by-play commentary.

The event will be streamed for free on TikTok.
