In a bout for the vacant South American bantamweight title, Maximiliano Sergio Maidana (15-0-1, 5 KOs) defeated Luciano Francisco Baldor (21-6, 1 KO) on the night of Friday, September 11. The event took place at the Unión Eléctrica club in Córdoba, Argentina, with Maidana securing a split decision victory; the judges scored the fight 96-94 and 96-94 for Maidana, and 97-93 for Baldor.

The experienced Baldor attempted to keep his distance and box from the outside, but Maidana cut off the ring and landed the higher volume of punches.

Maidana is a former South American and Latino champion in both the bantamweight and super flyweight divisions.

Edilberto Fernández (9-1, 6 KOs) defeated Franco Morello (4-3-1, 3 KOs) via third-round knockout in a scheduled eight-round super middleweight bout.

In a six-round super welterweight contest, Uruguayan fighter Víctor Ezequiel “Látigo” Rodríguez (17-2-1, 9 KOs) won a points decision over local boxer Leonardo Gabriel Pucheta (5-12, 4 KOs).

Carlos Dante Moyano (10-19, 1 KO) pulled off a surprise victory in a six-round cruiserweight bout, winning by disqualification in the second round against the previously undefeated prospect Juan Manuel Oliver (6-1, 1 KO).
