A world title twinbill will come soon in Yokohama, Japan. A press conference took place on Monday there with the ambitious participants—WBA#1 Daiya Kira (4-0, 3 KOs; amateur 46-4, 16 stoppages) and #2 Carlos Canizalez (28-3-1, 20 KOs) for the vacant WBA light flyweight belt, plus WBA#2 Takeshi Ishii (11-1, 8 KOs) and #3 Wilfredo Mendez (20-3-2, 6 KOs) in quest of the vacant WBA minimumweight title. All of them were vigorously eloquent in expressing their confidence, and each replied on Key to Victory as follows:
Kira (23 years of age): concentration on this first opportunity to aquire the belt
Canizalez (33): superior experience through my long professional career
Ishii (26, former kick-boxing champ): distance to cope with the much more experienced southpaw veteran
Mendez (29): Experience of having competed with various kinds of opponents
