The countdown to Fight Night in America continues tomorrow night as CES Boxing invites fans and members of the media to an Open Workout at Big Six Boxing Academy in Providence.
The event takes place Wednesday, September 23 at 6 p.m. at Big Six Boxing Academy, located at 816 Douglas Ave. in Providence. The event is free and open to the public.
Fans and media will have the opportunity to get an up-close look at fighters competing on Saturday’s card as they go through their final preparations ahead of CES Boxing’s highly anticipated return to Bally’s Lincoln Casino Resort.
Newly signed Dominican Olympian Alexy de la Cruz (9-0, 3 KOs) will be among the featured fighters participating Wednesday. De la Cruz makes his CES Boxing debut Saturday night in the eight-round super featherweight main event.
Also scheduled to participate is Worcester, Massachusetts light heavyweight Kendrick Ball Jr. (23-2-3, 13 KOs), who returns to Bally’s for the first time since 2018 to battle Argentina’s Job Herrera (13-5-1, 6 KOs) in the six-round co-feature.
Rhode Island’s next generation will also be on display, including unbeaten Coventry middleweight Will Guilmette (3-0, 3 KOs), Cranston super welterweight Tyler Macari (4-0, 3 KOs) and Johnston’s hard-hitting welterweight Kevin “Kutthroat” Mojica (5-0, 5 KOs).
A couple of newly signed prospects making their highly anticipated professional debuts on Saturday will also be on-hand, as fans will get their first glance at Providence lightweight Michael Clark and Cranston middleweight Vinny Tedesco.
The Open Workout provides fans with a preview of Saturday night’s action while offering media members opportunities for interviews, photos and video with the fighters in attendance.
Fight Night in America takes place Saturday, September 26 at Bally’s Lincoln Casino Resort and marks CES Boxing’s first event at the venue since May 2024.
