WBF middleweight champion Viktor “The Butcher” Temirov (11-0) of Kazakhstan will defend his title against an opponent to be announced on October 3 at Grosse Freiheit 36, a large nightclub in Hamburg, on a show promoted by Thomas Nissen and his Boxen im Norden.
The co-feature is something of a surprise, as 50-year-old former multiple world champion Mikaela Laurén (33-9-1) of Sweden will make yet another comeback. Laurén is 0-3-1 in her last four fights and is hardly world-class material anymore. Back in the day—more than 10 years ago—Mikaela held the WBC super welterweight title and fought the likes of Cecilia Brækhus twice. But that was then, and time flies for us all.
WBF welterweight champion Alexander Pavlov (24-6) and English heavyweight Steve Robinson (8-3) are also on the bill, with their opponents yet to be announced.
