BOST Energies Limited Company (BOSTenergies) has reported strong financial and operational growth for the 2025 financial year, recording significant increases in revenue, profitability, assets and shareholder equity, while achieving a historic milestone with the payment of its first-ever dividend to the Government of Ghana.
The performance was announced at the Company’s 2026 Annual General Meeting (AGM) held today in Accra, where the shareholder, the Board of Directors, Management and other stakeholders reviewed the Company’s performance for the 2025 financial year.
Strong Financial Performance
The 2025 financial year marked a defining period in BOSTenergies’ transformation, with the Company recording substantial growth across key financial indicators.
The Company recorded:
- GH¢3.81 billion in revenue, representing a 195% year-on-year growth;
- GH¢683.96 million in Profit After Tax, reflecting a 72% year-on-year increase;
- GH¢3.99 billion in total assets, representing 50% growth;
- GH¢1.47 billion in shareholder equity, more than doubling over the period; and
- A 28% reduction in administrative expenses, demonstrating the Company’s continued focus on cost discipline and operational efficiency.
A major highlight of the year was the payment of BOSTenergies’ first-ever dividend to the Government of Ghana since the Company’s establishment 32 years ago.
The Company paid 5% of its net profit as dividend, amounting to GH¢34.2 million, marking a significant milestone in BOSTenergies’ journey towards delivering greater value to Government.
The dividend payment reflects the Company’s improved financial position and reinforces its commitment to prudent financial management, accountability and sustainable shareholder value creation.

The 2025 results were driven by the strength of the Company’s commercial activities, disciplined financial management and continued focus on operational efficiency.
Beyond the financial results, the performance demonstrated the emergence of stronger and more resilient BOSTenergies, supported by a solid financial foundation to drive continued investment, operational excellence and sustainable growth.
Commenting on the performance, Managing Director of BOSTenergies, Mr Afetsi Awoonor, said:

Mr Awoonor reaffirmed the Company’s commitment to sustainable growth and its critical role in Ghana’s downstream energy sector.

On his part, the Minister of Energy and Green Transition, Hon. Dr John Abdulai Jinpor praised the Board, Management and staff of BOSTenergies for delivering a masterclass performance in their financial growth and profitability, operational efficiency and portfolio growth of almost threefold. The Minister pledged his unflinching support to the Board and management and charged them to remain steadfast and build on the achievements attained.
The Director General of SIGA, Prof Michael Kpesah Whyte, welcomed the positive turnaround at BOSTenergies including its first dividend payment in its history and urged the Board and Management to remain on track to achieve bigger growth and deliver value to government.
The 2026 Annual General Meeting therefore marked an important milestone in BOSTenergies’ journey, providing an opportunity to reflect on a year of strong performance while reaffirming the Company’s commitment to financial sustainability, operational excellence, shareholder value and Ghana’s energy security.
