The Ghana Football Association (GFA) is in the final stages of consultations regarding the Black Stars’ technical team following the team’s failure to qualify for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).

GFA Communications Director Henry Asante Twum revealed that discussions involving key stakeholders, including the Ministry of Youth and Sports, are ongoing and expected to conclude soon.

“These consultations often take time, especially when the government is involved,” Asante Twum explained in an interview with Peace FM.

“The Executive Council has had several meetings, with another scheduled for next week to finalize matters. I urge everyone to remain patient as the council prepares to make an official announcement.”

He dismissed speculative reports in the media, emphasizing that any updates circulating are personal opinions rather than official decisions.

“Council members are human; they share the public’s disappointment. This process requires careful consideration, and the matter was referred to the Ministry for further input.”
