Ghana’s Black Stars have climbed two places in the latest FIFA World Ranking, following their impressive run in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers in October 2025.
Otto Addo’s side, who were ranked 75th in September 2025 after a one-place rise, have now moved up to 73rd globally in the October 2025 update.
The improvement reflects Ghana’s strong performances during the international window, where they recorded back-to-back wins, a dominant 5-0 thrashing of Madagascar in Morocco and a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Comoros at the Accra Sports Stadium to seal top spot in Group I.

Despite the global rise, the Black Stars remain 14th in Africa, maintaining their continental position from the previous ranking.
Otto Addo will be hoping to push the team even higher when they return to action in November 2025 in the international friendlies against Japan and South Korea.
