Minister for Sports and Recreation, Honorable Kofi Adams, paid a visit to the Black Stars at their team hotel ahead of their decisive FIFA World Cup qualifier against Mali on Monday, 8th September 2025, at the Accra Sports Stadium.

The Minister’s visit comes at a crucial moment as Ghana sits top of their group with 16 points, following a hard-fought 1-1 draw against Chad last Wednesday.

His presence was aimed at boosting the morale of the team and assuring them of the government’s full support as they push closer to qualification.

Also present during the visit were the Technical Director of the Ministry of Sports and Recreation, members of the Black Stars Management Committee, and the President of the Ghana Football Association (GFA).

The Black Stars will be hoping to capitalise on their advantage and solidify their lead when they face Mali in front of an expected packed crowd at the Accra Sports Stadium.
