Black Stars players have joined the campaign to promote peace ahead of the December 7 general elections.

On Saturday, December 7, 2024, citizens of Ghana will go to the polls to elect presidential and parliamentary candidates for their respective constituencies.

With various organizations advocating for peace during and after the elections, the Black Stars have followed suit, using their influence to support the cause.

A video released on the team’s official X account shows players, including Mohammed Kudus, Gideon Mensah, and Head Coach Otto Addo, urging citizens to ensure peaceful elections.

They appealed to citizens to avoid any actions that could lead to violence during and after the elections, while also encouraging them to protect the integrity of Ghana’s democracy by accepting the election results in good faith.

The Black Stars failed to win any of their six games in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers and as a result will miss the tournament in Morocco.
