Ghana international Ernest Nuamah has taken a significant step toward full recovery after returning to ball training following a lengthy injury layoff.

The 22-year-old winger has been out of action since April, when he sustained an anterior cruciate ligament injury during a Ligue 1 encounter against Lille OSC. The setback ruled him out for several months, including the start of the 2025/26 season and Ghana’s recent World Cup qualifying matches.

After eight months of rehabilitation, Nuamah has resumed on-field drills involving the ball, signaling encouraging progress in his recovery. The forward shared an uplifting message on social media, expressing resilience and determination as he nears a return to competitive football.

His expected comeback later this month will come as a major boost for the Ghana national football team, who are intensifying preparations for the FIFA World Cup in North America. Nuamah was instrumental during the qualifiers, including scoring a crucial goal in Ghana’s away victory over Mali in Bamako.
