Ghana’s Black Stars have wrapped up 2025 in 72nd position in the FIFA Men’s World Rankings, according to the latest update published on FIFA’s official website.

The global ranking also sees Ghana positioned 14th on the African continent, with both standings remaining unchanged from the November rankings.

Despite the lack of movement in the most recent update, the year-end position reflects a modest improvement compared to December 2024, when the Black Stars were ranked 77th in the world.

At the top of the global rankings, Spain finished 2025 as the world’s highest-ranked team, followed closely by Argentina in second place and France in third.

England and Brazil occupy fourth and fifth positions respectively, while Portugal, the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany and Croatia complete the top ten.

On the African front, Morocco maintain their status as the continent’s highest-ranked side.

Senegal sit in second place, with Algeria, Egypt and Nigeria rounding off the top five African teams as the year comes to a close.
