Ghanaian defender Terry Yegbe has suffered relegation from the French Ligue 1 with FC Metz following the conclusion of the 2025/26 season.
The Maroons ended their campaign with a goalless draw away to OGC Nice at the Allianz Riviera on the final day of the season. Yegbe played the full 90 minutes in the crucial encounter.
However, the result was not enough to save Metz from the drop as they finished bottom of the Ligue 1 table with just 17 points after a difficult campaign.
The club managed only three wins throughout the season, while recording eight draws and suffering 23 defeats.
Despite the team’s struggles, Yegbe featured regularly for Metz during the campaign, making 24 appearances and contributing one assist from his centre-back position.
The 25-year-old internationally has featured only once for Ghana, after making his debut for Black Stars in November 2024 during the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Niger.
Terry Yegbe will now hope to help Metz bounce back quickly while also maintaining his place in the Black Stars setup ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
