Ghanaian midfielder, Kwasi Sibo has stated that the Black Stars are on course to excel under the leadership of head coach Otto Addo.

He explained that the coach’s ability to foster unity and cohesion within the squad is admirable and helps to create a serene environment in camp.

The Real Oviedo midfielder believes that with togetherness and determination among the players, the team will thrive in tournaments and other competitions, making it difficult to lose.

“One thing I’ve seen in this team is unity, and when a team is united and ready to fight for each other, it’s hard to beat. We are very united, and I feel we are on the right track,” he said during an interview with Daily Graphic.

His comments come at a time when Otto Addo has faced intense public criticisms, with some sports personalities and fans calling for his dismissal.

The former Borussia Dortmund coach led the Black Stars to qualify for the 2026 FIFA World Cup after a disappointing performance in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers.

Since making his senior debut against Mali, Sibo started all three matches in the World Cup qualifiers, where his partnership with Thomas Partey proved pivotal to the team’s performance.
