Ghana’s Black Starlets continued their preparations for the 2026 U-17 Africa Cup of Nations with a commanding 2-0 victory over Semper Fi in an international friendly at the Accra Sports Stadium on Wednesday.
The win came just hours after the Starlets edged Zone Three leaders Port City FC 1-0, marking their fourth preparatory match in two weeks as the technical team intensifies efforts to build match fitness and tactical sharpness ahead of the tournament in Morocco this April.
Clement Agyei opened the scoring in the 12th minute, rising above his markers to head home and give Ghana an early advantage. The Starlets maintained control and doubled their lead seven minutes before halftime when Gab Beng Amponsah beat his defender and calmly slotted past the goalkeeper.
Semper Fi, who sit second in Zone Three of the Division One League, tightened up defensively after the break to prevent further damage. Agyei came closest to adding a third but struck the woodwork.
The Starlets have also faced True Democracy FC and Na God FC in recent friendlies as preparations intensify.
