On December 22, 2025, at exactly 12:22 am, the lights at the University of Ghana Stadium cut through the night. In that moment, Black Sherif appeared on stage, and the roar that followed made it clear the wait was over.

From dusk into the early hours of the morning, the University of Ghana Stadium had become a meeting point for music lovers from all walks of life.

They came in their numbers for one reason: to experience a live performance from the artiste who has carried Konongo Zongo onto global stages.

The concert, however, did not begin at the advertised time. According to Zaama Disco’s official pages and Black Sherif’s social media pages, the show was scheduled for 8:00 pm on December 21, 2025.

Instead, the night officially kicked off at 11:12 pm, when MC and hypeman Kojo Manuel stepped in to steady the atmosphere, working in sync with the DJ.

The MC and DJ launched crowd engagement with Shatta Wale’s “Thunder Fire” before transitioning into La Meme Gang’s “Godzilla.”

The crowd sang at the top of their voices, momentarily forgetting the frustration that had built up between 8:00 pm and 11:00 pm.

After Kojo Manuel’s high-energy engagement, the concert properly began with a lineup of fast-rising acts who steadily warmed up the stage for the main event.

By 11:19 pm, performances from acts such as Sekyerewaa, Omarion, Kojo Taadi and several others had the audience fully locked in, building anticipation for the moment thousands at the stadium had been waiting for.

When Black Sherif finally took the stage at 12:22 am on December 22, 2025, the stadium erupted. He made his entrance to “Iron Boy,” immediately pulling the crowd into the rhythm and setting the tone for the night.

Under the crisp harmattan sky, his opening felt deliberately restrained and intimate. Performing his “January 9” record, Black Sherif drew the audience into a soulful, mellow space. It was a calm, measured start that hinted at what was still to come.

That calm soon gave way to a run of songs from the “Iron Boy” album, delivered with the support of a live band that lifted the energy across the stadium. Each performance fed into the next, keeping the momentum alive.

The excitement peaked even further when supporting guests joined him on stage. KiDi, AratheJay, Gonaboy, AlorG, Sarkodie, Kofi Mole, Kojo Blak and Beeztrap all made appearances, turning the night into a shared celebration and keeping revellers on their feet.

Throughout the night, one thing stood out clearly. Ghanaian music lovers have a deep connection with Black Sherif and his album, “Iron Boy.” Nearly every song was met with fans singing along word for word.

Despite the delayed start and the agitation that filled the early hours, many attendees did not place the blame on Black Sherif.

Fans largely understood that the delay was linked to the boxing event held on December 20, 2025, hosted by President Mahama’s son, which ran just hours before Black Sherif’s concert.

From the explosive presence of the live band to the smooth coordination of supporting acts, the night was carefully put together to leave a lasting impression.

It also marked a milestone, as it was the first time Black Sherif took his annual concert to a stadium stage.
