Ghanaian musician Black Sherif continues to dominate the digital music scene, retaining his position as the most streamed Ghanaian artiste since 2022.

His debut album, ‘The Villain I Never Was’, broke streaming records and remains the most streamed Ghanaian album on Boomplay Ghana, surpassing 200 million streams.

His latest album, Iron Boy, has further boosted his global appeal, becoming the first Ghanaian album to spend two consecutive weeks on Apple Music’s Top 50 USA chart.

It also debuted at number 7 on Spotify’s Global Album Debuts chart.

Singles like “Kilos Milos” have topped music charts across multiple platforms in Ghana, including Apple Music, Boomplay, Audiomack, and YouTube Music, reinforcing his status as a leading hitmaker.

While Black Sherif leads in digital streams, other Ghanaian artistes such as Amaarae, King Promise, Moliy, and Sarkodie have also made significant gains globally.

Amaarae, for instance, is the most streamed Ghanaian female artiste on Spotify, with over 1.1 billion streams.

Black Sherif’s ongoing success highlights the growing international interest in Ghanaian music and signals a broader shift in how African sounds are being consumed globally.
