Ghana’s U-16 girls’ team, the Black Damsels, continued their impressive start to the UEFA U-16 Development Tournament with a dominant 5-0 victory over Ireland on Thursday, March 6, 2025.
Priscilla Mensah scored a brace, while Seidatu Wahab and Daniella Abass added a goal each. Ireland also conceded an own goal, sealing a commanding win for Ghana at the Centenary Stadium in Ta’ Qali.
The Black Damsels have now scored 13 goals in two games while conceding just once. They opened their campaign with an 8-1 triumph over host nation Malta.
Their final game of the four-nation tournament will be on March 9, when they take on Latvia.
The UEFA Development Tournament, hosted in Malta, aims to prepare the participating nations for their upcoming assignments in 2025.
