The BKQ Foundation extended a compassionate hand on Monday, 21st October, 2024, as they visited the National Radiotherapy, Oncology, and Nuclear Medicine center at the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital during Pink October breast cancer awareness month.

The Foundation’s act of kindness saw them settling the outstanding bills of ten (10) patients who are currently undergoing radiation treatment at the center. This gesture was met with heartfelt appreciation from the patients, who highlighted the immense impact on their lives during a short ceremony at the center.

Mrs. Nonka Quashie, the Co-Founder of BKQ Foundation, made a pledge to the center to continue covering the radiation treatment bills for the patients until their treatment is complete. This commitment reflects the Foundation’s dedication to supporting those in need during their healthcare journey.

Madam Jennifer Botchway, Principal Nursing Officer representing the center, extended heartfelt thanks for the support provided by BKQ Foundation, emphasizing its dedication to enhancing the well-being of cancer patients.

This noble initiative exemplifies the transformative power of philanthropy in providing vital support to individuals facing medical challenges. The BKQ Foundation’s commitment to easing the financial burdens of patients undergoing treatment serves as a beacon of hope in the fight against cancer.
