Bibiani Goldstars FC advanced to the next round of the Ghana FA Cup with an impressive 2-0 victory over FC Samartex 1996 at the Nsenkyire Sports Arena on Saturday, November 30, 2024.

The Miners relied on the brilliance of defender Michael Nkoah, who delivered a memorable performance by scoring both goals.

The victory was a statement of intent from Goldstars, who are currently leading the Ghana Premier League table.

The match got off to a dramatic start, with Goldstars taking the lead as early as the 4th minute.

Nkoah’s composed finish not only put his team ahead but also disrupted the rhythm of the reigning Premier League champions.

Samartex worked hard to recover and enjoyed spells of possession but found it difficult to penetrate Goldstars’ disciplined defensive line.

Just moments into the second half, Nkoah struck again, this time with a spectacular effort that left the Samartex goalkeeper with no chance.

The second goal further deflated Samartex’s hopes of a comeback, allowing Goldstars to control the remainder of the game.

Goldstars’ victory is a testament to their form and ambition this season as they aim for glory in both the league and the cup.
