Ghana Premier League champions, Bibiani Gold Stars have parted ways with head coach Frimpong Manso with immediate effect.

This decision comes following the club’s defeat to JS Kabylie in the first leg of the 2025/2026 CAF Champions League preliminary stage qualifiers.

Bibiani Gold Stars lost 2-0 at home at the Accra Sports Stadium on Saturday, September 20, 2025.

Frimpong, a former Asante Kotoko defender took charge of Gold Stars two seasons ago and guided them to a historic maiden league title last season.

Manso began the current campaign on a bright note overseeing a 2-1 win over Bechem United on match day 1 of the ongoing 2025/2026 Ghana Premier League season.

However, the momentum faltered against JS Kabylie, leaving the club with a mountain to climb in the return leg in Algeria this weekend with Manso’s assistant, Nana Yaw Amankwah taking charge of preparations.
