For Conor Benn, it was sweet revenge against his rival Chris Eubank Jr. tonight at London’s Tottenham Hotspur Stadium’s in front of some 60,000 fans.

While Eubank Jr. did get in his share of licks on his smaller rival, it was Benn who controlled the ring, the pace and the power pretty much throughout the fight. There were some close rounds that could have gone either way, but all the decisive rounds went to Benn.

Benn worked behind the jab, attacked the taller man’s body and landed the harder shots throughout. What Benn had been looking for throughout their two fights finally came in the 24th round of their combined action against each other- two knockdowns to cement a decisive win by scores of 119-107, 116-110, 118-108. Benn improves to 24-1, 14 KOs. Eubank Jr. falls to 35-4, 25 KOs. Benn had previously promised that win, lose or draw, he would return to the welterweights where he was on the brink of a title shot before moving up two divisions for this lucrative fight against his domestic and familial rival.
