Renowned Ghanaian music producer, Appiah Dankwah, popularly known as Appietus has opened up about the lucrative aspect of the Ghana music industry.

In an interview with Hitz FM on July 9, 2025, Appietus noted that he has been able to generate wealth as a music producer in the country.

He explained that as a music producer, he has been able to open businesses in the country that are generating multiple sources of revenue for him.

“Obviously! This same job is taking me to places and bigger stages. And I have made a big name for myself being a music producer. I have been celebrated by some Ghanaians and awarded by Ghanaians.

“I’ve made quite a good amount of money from this. I’m always thankful to God, no matter what. It was this same job that gave me the name that was able to propel my other businesses. So, I’m grateful. I am always grateful,” he said.

Appietus, who has recently established a studio in the United Kingdom also explained that his reason for relocating to the UK is to take Ghana’s sound global.

“In the UK, they have their type of genres. They have producers who are doing afrobeats and that kind of jams I was doing back then. Being here is going to be a serious thing to start Ghanaian sound to the world easily. That is one of the reasons why I am here as well,” he added.
