Becky Faitin, a rising star in the gospel music scene from the central region, is calling on Dzifa Gomashie, the Minister for Tourism, Culture, and Creative Arts, to support upcoming gospel musicians.

In a recent interview with DjQwequ on Ahomka FM in Elmina, Becky Faitin expressed her concerns about the lack of national recognition for new talent in the industry, particularly when it comes to national gospel events.

According to Becky Faitin, it’s tough for emerging gospel musicians to get their foot in the door and showcase their talents on a national scale. She’s appealing to event organizers to give upcoming artists more opportunities to shine on big stages.

As Minister, Dzifa Gomashie has pledged to revamp the tourism and creative arts sectors, with a focus on infrastructure development, financial empowerment, and cultural promotion.

Becky Faitin’s plea highlights a significant issue in the gospel music industry. With numerous national events celebrating gospel music, such as the National Music and Talent Awards, it’s essential that organizers make a conscious effort to include new and emerging talent in their lineups.

By providing a platform for upcoming gospel musicians, event organizers can help foster growth, innovation, and diversity in the industry. It’s time for Ghana’s gospel music scene to open its doors to fresh talent and give them the recognition they deserve.
