Beatrice Annan, a well-known public figure, has made some serious allegations against the government’s National Cathedral project. In an interview on TV3 earlier today, Annan accused the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) of using the project to enrich their associates . She claimed that the project was designed to defraud the public and misuse resources under the guise of a religious initiative.

Annan pointed out that the project has already cost over 225 million Ghana cedis, with excessive spending on preliminary work such as architectural drawings and site preparations. She questioned the financial arrangements, emphasizing that in typical construction projects, payments to architects are made in stages, not upfront .

The National Cathedral project has been a topic of controversy, with many questioning its legitimacy and the government’s handling of the project. Annan’s allegations have sparked a wave of discussions on social media, with many expressing strong reactions to her remarks.
