Dreams FC coach Abdul Karim Zito has acknowledged that his team’s 1-0 victory over Accra Lions in the Ghana Premier League was a hard-fought win.

The match, played on Sunday, January 5, 2025, saw Dreams FC edge past Accra Lions in a tense Week 16 fixture.

Coach Zito praised his team’s resilience and determination while also highlighting the tactical challenge posed by Accra Lions.

“It wasn’t easy for us. Lions came with a tactical system to stop us from doing what we wanted to do,” he said.

Despite dominating the first half and creating several scoring opportunities, Dreams FC struggled in the second half.

“When you watch the first half, we should have scored about 3, 4, or 5 goals. In the second half, we were jittery,” Coach Zito admitted.

The narrow win has propelled Dreams FC to 14th place on the league table with 16 points, giving them a much-needed lifeline in their fight to avoid relegation.
