Reality TV star, Tuoyo Ideh, has alleged that operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) physically assaulted him after he posted about a recent club raid in Lagos on social media.

In a video shared online, Tuoyo recounted the events that unfolded during a raid at Proxy in Lagos in the early hours of Saturday, which he said left him in pain and distress.

According to Tuoyo, he had gone to the club around 2 a.m. to help a friend secure a table when NDLEA operatives and military personnel suddenly stormed the venue.

Tuoyo said he and other clubgoers were searched, and when nothing illegal was found on him, they were ordered to sit outside on the ground for hours before being taken to the NDLEA office in Ikoyi.

He stated that at the agency’s office, despite repeated pleas that he had done nothing wrong, they were told they were ‘all suspects.’

Tuoyo claimed he recorded a short video of the situation and posted it online so people would know what was happening. However, the social media post angered some NDLEA officers, leading to a violent assault.

“About 30 minutes after I posted, a woman came and pointed at me. Then some men rushed at me, brushed me, slapped me, and one of them said, Take him there and shoot him. They beat me, kicked me, and used sticks on me. They made me roll on the floor and do frog jumps. I could barely breathe.” He said

Tuoyo said he was later moved to the guardroom, where a prisoner helped him massage his swollen hands, he was eventually released after his colleagues, Elozonam and Ike, arrived to sign for him.
