Big Brother Naija reality TV star Adekunle Olopade has expressed gratitude to the Lagos State Police Command after disciplinary action was taken against officers who harassed him days ago.

Adekunle had posted online about how the Lagos State police harassed, assaulted, and extorted money from him.

In a lengthy post shared on X (Twitter), Adekunle revealed that the officers involved in the incident had been identified and sanctioned, following a swift investigation by the Complaint Response Unit (CRU) and the Area J Command, Elemoro, Ibeju-Lekki.

“Hi, everyone. In the last few days, the only news you’ve heard from me has been difficult, but at this very moment, I would like to share some good news with you. I have been in talks with the ACP in charge of the Area J Command, Elemoro, providing her with all the details necessary, with hopes that the officers at fault would be found and brought to book. I’m happy to let you know that thanks to the effort and investigation of ACP Oluyemisi Ojo, the police officers were found, and disciplinary action has been taken against them. Justice has been served.” He wrote

The reality TV star described the outcome as a huge relief, noting that it restored some level of faith in the police at a time when public trust is generally low.

Adekunle went on to encourage Nigerians who have suffered harassment at the hands of police officers to report such cases and gather evidence when possible.

The reality star also urged the public to remain cautious during the festive season, stressing that harassment is unacceptable and that everyone deserves to be treated with dignity.

Adekunle concluded his message by thanking fans and well-wishers for their messages, calls, and support, noting that he’s ready to move on and focus on being himself again.
