Following a frustrating three-match winless run, Bashir Hayford, head coach of Heart of Lions FC, has described his team’s recent form as “unfortunate” and “very difficult” to endure.
The Kpando-based side has struggled for consistency in the Ghana Premier League, securing just one victory in their last seven outings. As a result, Heart of Lions currently sit 13th in the standings with 34 points, narrowly above the relegation zone.
Hayford, a seasoned tactician, is now focusing on a crucial home fixture against Vision FC at the Kpando Stadium, promising fans a turnaround. “It’s unfortunate. You play three matches and then you don’t win any of them, which is very, very difficult,” he said during a pre-match briefing. “When we come back home, we want to make amends and satisfy our supporters.”
The Matchday 28 clash presents a vital opportunity for Heart of Lions to leapfrog Vision FC, regain confidence, and move away from the lower half of the table.
