Social media influencer, Seyram Adablah

Former National Service personnel, Deborah Seyram Adablah, whose legal battle with her sugar daddy captured massive attention, is once again making waves on social media, this time following her release from a 45-day jail sentence.

On Tuesday, May 6, 2025, reports emerged that Seyram Adablah had been sentenced to 45 days in prison for contempt of court.

The ruling stemmed from her open criticisms about the court’s handling of her case, questioning the integrity of Ghana’s judiciary and warning the judge to be fair in his rulings.

Her comments, which were played in open court, influenced the judge’s decision to issue a bench warrant for her arrest.

Subsequently, after serving the 45-day jail sentence, Deborah Seyram Adablah has posted a video on social media on June 19, 2025, announcing her return.

In the video, which quickly went viral, she boldly declared,”Back like I never left. I am back. All of you will go on low battery. You said I don’t look like I’ve been in prison, right? Oh my God! God is the greatest, and I will be back.”

Her statement has since triggered a flurry of reactions online.

While some netizens mocked or criticised her for the perceived lack of remorse, others suggested that she might need psychological support.

The video has sparked debate around accountability, media sensationalism, and mental health.

Background

Seyram Adablah first made headlines when she filed a lawsuit against her ‘sugar daddy’ Ernest Kwasi Nimako, alleging that he had breached several promises made to her during thier romantic relationship.

Among her demands were financial compensation and ownership of a Honda Civic, which she claimed he had gifted to her.

However, on May 16, 2023, the court ordered Adablah to hand over the vehicle, registered GC 7899-23, to the court registrar for safekeeping until a final judgment could be made.

Reports emerged that she had failed to comply with the court’s order.
