Leicester City have been relegated to England’s League One following a 2-2 draw with Hull City, capping a disappointing season that sees the former Premier League champions suffer back-to-back demotions.

The result leaves the Foxes with an insurmountable gap to safety, confirming their drop to the third tier with games to spare. The outcome has also cast uncertainty over the futures of Ghana internationals Jordan Ayew and Abdul Fatawu Issahaku.

Ayew, one of the most experienced players in the squad, could be set for a summer exit as his contract situation and top-flight pedigree make a stay in League One unlikely. The 32-year-old forward is expected to attract interest from clubs seeking experience and attacking depth.

For Fatawu Issahaku, Leicester’s relegation may accelerate a move away despite being under contract. The young winger has been one of the club’s standout performers this season, and his potential has reportedly drawn attention from teams in higher divisions.

Relegation could also impact both players’ international prospects with Ghana, as maintaining top-level club football remains key ahead of major competitions.

Leicester’s relegation marks a significant decline for a club that lifted the Premier League title less than a decade ago, while their Ghanaian duo now faces crucial career decisions in the months ahead.
