Ghanaian artiste, Fantana, has made it clear that while she has stepped back from the music scene for a while, she hasn’t quit entirely.

In a recent interview on Starr FM, she explained that her break from the industry is intentional.

She said she took time off to rediscover herself and ensure her future music truly reflects who she is, rather than creating songs that don’t align with her personal journey.

“I haven’t quit music fully. I just needed time to find myself. I don’t want to sing just anything, I want my music to be meaningful and relatable,” she said.

She went on to praise Black Sherif for his ability to connect with listeners through powerful storytelling, noting that this is a direction the Ghanaian music industry is currently excelling in.

Fantana also addressed the pressure many artistes feel to win awards, asserting that recognition shouldn’t define a musician’s success.

“Awards don’t define your career. Many music legends have none. What really matters is having a loyal fan base that connects with your music and supports your journey,” she added.

Calling on Ghanaians and fans around the world, Fantana encouraged people to continue streaming and supporting her music.

While she didn’t confirm a full return just yet, she revealed a new release is on the way and teased a major surprise in store.

“I’m bringing someone iconic, so y’all should stay tuned,” she hinted.
