Alarming footage has shown the moment a group of Australians were involved in a brawl at a popular bar in Bali.
The street fight took place outside Motel Mexicola Seminyak, a beachside venue in southern Bali, on October 1 after an incident inside the bar.
Motel Mexicola Seminyak manager Gusti Putu Wira Suparta, 35, told police the incident initially involved two Australians inside the bar.
Police said witnesses had reported that those involved in the fight were Australian and suspected the incident had been exacerbated by alcohol.
‘The incident was initially triggered by a misunderstanding, possibly compounded by excessive alcohol consumption,’ North Kuta Police Chief I Ketut Sukadana said on Tuesday.
Police said a shirtless man was seen running towards the entrance of the bar, followed by several others believed to be Australian nationals.
The man became involved in a physical altercation with another man before three others stepped in and attempted to pull him away, police said.
As the fight was broken up, another man was seen striking the shirtless man before he was eventually dragged away from the area by his friends.

The brawl spilled into the street, where the violent confrontation was captured on camera
CCTV footage from inside the nightclub, obtained by the police, showed two men exchanging blows in the middle of a crowd.
The manager said the group was separated and the men were escorted outside, where the confrontation continued.
One of the men then repeatedly tried to re-enter the premises to reach his opponent while allegedly attacking and striking anyone who attempted to stop him, including security staff, according to police.
Mr Sukadana said officers had not arrested anyone in relation to the incident.
He said police were continuing to investigate the incident and had coordinated with local authorities as well as immigration regarding possible deportation.
‘Whenever an incident occurs, we will respond together and take the necessary action and pay attention to any activities or incidents that occur in the North Kuta area,’ he said.
‘We will never allow even the slightest disturbance to occur in the North Kuta area without taking appropriate action,’ Mr Sukadana said.
‘All the foreign nationals involved in the brawl at the bar are reportedly Australian.

‘The incident was initially triggered by a misunderstanding, possibly compounded by excessive alcohol consumption,’ North Kuta Police Chief I Ketut Sukadana said
‘The brawl may have occurred because the bar was quite crowded at the time, and the individuals involved may also have consumed too much alcohol.’
Asked what action the police would take following the incident, Mr Sukadana said that increased security measures would be implemented.
‘In North Kuta, we will of course gather the security personnel and remind them not to take actions that are inappropriate or outside their authority,’ he said.
‘We will also provide direct education and guidance to bar owners regarding appropriate procedures for handling incidents.
‘We warn foreign nationals visiting Bali, particularly the North Kuta area, to engage in positive and orderly activities and not to disturb public safety and order within the jurisdiction of the North Kuta Police.
‘If they violate these rules, we will coordinate with Immigration regarding deportation.’
