Tema-based professional golfer Augustine Manasseh delivered a commanding performance to win the PGA Heritage Cup at the Centre of the World Golf Club.

Manasseh, who entered the competition as one of the favorites, set the early pace with back-to-back rounds of 68 before maintaining his lead with scores of 73 and 74 to seal victory in the four-day tournament. His consistent 4-under-par display and composed approach stood out in a competitive field.

The championship, staged as part of Ghana’s Heritage Month celebrations, featured 38 professionals, five female golfers and 10 senior players, all competing for prize money and ranking points.

Manasseh described the triumph as a reward for his hard work after receiving the top prize of GHS 10,000 at the closing ceremony.

Achimota-based golfer Lucky Ayisah finished second, with Kwame Ligbidi, J. Klah and E.K. Owusu placing third to fifth respectively.

In the seniors’ division, Erasmus Korblah claimed top spot ahead of John Mawuli Nyarko and others.

PGA officials, including Tournament Director Eric Henaku, praised the event and outlined plans to further develop professional golf in Ghana.
