    Berekum West has made history with the election of Dickson Kyere-Duah, an accomplished sports journalist and seasoned administrator, as its new Member of Parliament.

    Known for a career marked by excellence, integrity, and dedication to sports development, communication, journalism and Academia, his victory represents a significant step forward for the constituency.

    With a deep-rooted passion for sports as a vehicle for socio-economic, Kyere-Duah, popularly known in the media circles at Stugard campaigned vigorously on the platform of hope, progress, and unity. This resounding victory reflects the trust the people of Berekum West have placed in his vision for inclusivity and sustainable growth.

    Having combined an illustrious career in sports journalism with impactful administrative roles in sports, Stugard brings a wealth of experience, strategic thinking, and a commitment to driving transformational change in the country’s sports development.

    His ability to connect with people, understand their needs, and offer practical solutions was central to this campaign’s success in winning this traditional NPP seat with a 62% margin.

    Speaking after the victory, he expressed profound gratitude to the constituents, campaign team, and supporters, emphasizing a renewed pledge to work tirelessly for the betterment of every community in Berekum West.

    The MP-elect has over 25 years of experience in sports journalism and football administration, locally and internationally. He is also an accredited Public Relations practitioner by the Institute of Public Relations Ghana and currently heads the Public Relations Directorate of the Sunyani Technical University.
