The Southern Sector recorded a 2-1 win over the Northern Sector in the 2025 All Star Festival event.

The game, which took place at the University of Ghana Sports Stadium on June 18, 2025, saw numerous Black Stars players feature for both teams.

The Southern Sector began the game on a high note, scoring two goals in the first half.

Majeed Ashimeru’s brilliant strike in front of the penalty box broke the deadlock before another player added the second.

The Northern Sector, captained by Jordan Ayew, created chances in the second half, but Benjamin Asare’s excellent saves denied them more goals.

As they persistently pressed, Emanuel Boateng netted the consolation goal, but their search for an equaliser proved futile due to Asare’s heroics, and the match ended 2-1.

Some renowned players who featured for the Southern Zone include Thomas Partey (captain), Majeed Ashimeru, Razak Simpson, Gideon Mensah, and others.

Those who represented the Northern Sector include Jordan Ayew (captain), Emmanuel Boateng, Samuel Owusu, among others.

The All Star Festival is an annual football event that brings together Ghanaian football stars to compete for fans’ enjoyment.
