Ashanti Regional Minister, Hon. Frank Amoakohene and the Major of Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly, Richard Ofori Agyemang Boadi, have both charged Asante Kotoko to victory in the upcoming crunchy fixture against their bitter rivals Hearts of Oak in Sunday’s Super-Clash.

The Porcupine Warriors got evicted in the FA Cup last weekend and that brought so much pressure on the team from the supporters, who are currently shattered and will only recover their hopes in the team after a victory this Sunday in the league’s biggest fixture.

As part of plans to motivate the team heading into the game, distinguished delegates from the Manhyia Palace paid a courtesy visit to the team and have already assured them of their support and made other promises all to fire them up for the game.

Dr. Frank Amoakohene and Richard Ofori Agyemang Boadi famously known as ‘Zuba’, were also present at the Adabo-Jachie training grounds on the dusk of Friday to offer their support and have already purchased tickets and made promises to some of the fans who will be present at the stadium

“Ever since I became Minister, I have done everything little thing I can to promote and support the club. The team belongs to ‘Otumfour’ and you can’t say you won’t keep it at heart especially when you’re serving Asanteman.

“Recently, the team’s performance hasn’t gone well with the supporters but it’s still our beloved club so we’re all here to urge the to victory ahead of Sunday’s game against Hearts of Oak. We have already beaten them in Accra and we want to do that again. We need carry victory God willing on Sunday.”

“I have already purchased tickets to be distributed to some of the supporters in order to come in their numbers to support the team on Sunday”, he concluded

The game between Asante Kotoko and Hearts of Oak is slated for this Sunday, February 15, at the Baba Yara Stadium at 17:00GMT (5:00pm)
