Ashanti Region climbed to the top of Group B after a commanding 3–0 victory over Brong Ahafo on Monday in the 2025 KGL U-17 Inter-Regional Championship, overtaking Eastern Region on goal difference.

The emphatic win propelled Ashanti to six points, level with Eastern Region, who now sit second, as the group’s battle for supremacy intensifies. Central Region also surged into third place, matching the leaders with six points in what has become a fiercely contested pool.

Upper East, previously second, slipped to fourth with four points, while Brong Ahafo dropped to fifth. Elite Academy (Accra) remain at the foot of the table on two points from three matches.

Now in its fifth year, the KGL U-17 Inter-Regional Championship continues to stand out as Ghana’s premier platform for emerging football talent.

Featuring an expanded 12-team lineup drawn from all ten Regional Football Associations alongside the GFA Elite Academies, the 2025 edition is once again delivering the high-quality football and rising stars that have propelled many of its alumni to Ghana’s junior national teams and into the domestic leagues.
