The Ashanti Regional Chairman of the governing National Democratic Congress (NDC), Augustus Andrews Nana Akwasi, has appealed to President John Dramani Mahama to appoint more Ministers and Chief Executive Officers (CEOs) from the region.

While expressing gratitude to the President for nominating the Regional Secretary of the NDC, Dr. Frank Amoakohene, as Regional Minister-designate, Nana Akwasi emphasized the need for additional ministerial and executive appointments to facilitate the region’s development agenda.

“The Ashanti Region is the largest, with 47 constituencies, and requires more sector Ministers and CEOs to drive development and progress,” he stated.

He further noted that President Mahama has always prioritized the Ashanti Region and expressed confidence that more appointments would be made to boost development efforts and strengthen the party’s electoral fortunes in future elections.

Nana Akwasi also urged aspirants for the Metropolitan, Municipal, and District Chief Executive (MMDCE) positions to accept the vetting outcomes in good faith and continue to serve the party diligently.

Meanwhile, watch as John Mahama assures Ghanaians to be decisive and swift in his actions
