The Concerned Traditional Chiefs of Asanteman are a group of Asanteman traditional chiefs who have vowed to fully support President-Elect John Dramani Mahama. Nana Kwame Mensah-Bonsu, speaking on behalf of the group, Otumfuo Ahenenanom Hene, expressed happiness at Mahama’s election victory and praised his commitment to the Asante area and leadership throughout his first term.

The chiefs emphasised that Mahama’s accomplishments outstrip those of any other president in Ghana’s Fourth Republic, including previous President John Agyekum Kufuor, and praised his effective leadership and the development initiatives he started in Asanteman.

“We appreciate Mahama being given another chance to take the lead. We are confident that he will deliver again because he has done it before. He has performed better than any other president in the Fourth Republic. “Kufuor isn’t even close,” Nana Mensah-Bonsu said in Twi.

The chiefs commended Mahama’s humility and attentiveness, calling him a “good person” who prioritises the wellbeing of all Ghanaians. They expressed hope for Asanteman’s chances for a second term and asked the country to recognise his strong support for the president-elect.

We want everyone to know that Asanteman is completely behind him now that he is back. They also said, “Mahama listens and cares for the people.”

The strong regional support for Mahama and his leadership is demonstrated by the chiefs’ endorsement, which also reflects expectations for further advancements under his rule.
