Asante Kotoko has been officially charged by the Ghana Football Association’s Disciplinary Committee over allegations of threatening and assaulting match officials during their Matchday 12 clash with Medeama SC.

The GFA statement indicates that the club failed to protect match officials by allowing unauthorised individuals into Zone 2 during halftime, where the officials reportedly faced threats and attacks—a violation of the 2025 Enhanced Matchday Protocols.

The Porcupine Warriors have been given until Wednesday, December 3, to submit their response to the charges.

The incident occurred in a game that ended in a 2-2 draw between Asante Kotoko and Medeama at the Baba Yara Stadium.
