Reigning Ghana Premier Champions Bibiani Gold Stars and MTN FA Cup holders Asante Kotoko have been drawn against their opponents for the 2025-26 CAF Champions League and Confederations Cup, respectively.

Bibiani Gold Stars would mark their debut in the competition against Algerian side JS Kabylie in the preliminary round.

The preliminary round first-leg encounter would be played on September 19-21 in Accra, with the second leg scheduled to take place in Algiers on September 26-28, 2025.

The winner of this clash would progress to the second round of the CAF Champions League and could either face Sierra Leone’s East End Lions or Tunisia’s US Monastir.

On the other hand, Asante Kotoko have been drawn against Nigerian side Kwara United in the first preliminary round of the CAF Confederation Cup.

The Porcupine Warriors would make a return to the Confederation Cup for the first time since 2022 after clinching this year’s MTN FA Cup.

The tie would open in Kumasi with Kotoko hosting the first leg before travelling to Nigeria for the return leg against Kwara United.

The two-leg preliminary round matches are scheduled for the weekends of September 19-21 (first leg) and September 26-28 (second leg), 2025.

The winner of this fixture would advance to face Moroccan giants Wydad Casablanca in the second preliminary round, with the first leg of that round set for October 2025.
