Asante Kotoko head coach, Dr. Prosper Narteh Ogum, has emphasised the significance of his team’s victory over Berekum Holy Stars in the Ghana Premier League.

The manager stated that the win would serve as a confidence booster in their quest to secure the league title.

He further stressed that sitting at the top of the table fuels the team’s ambition and strengthens their belief in becoming eventual champions.

“This victory is a great one for us. It gives us a lot of confidence. Playing in the Ghana Premier League and being on top gives you a lot of hope,” he said in his post-match interview.

Ogum also commended his players for their dedication and resilience despite the demanding fixture schedule.

“I have to commend the players for the great job they’ve done so far. The tight fixture schedule doesn’t allow them enough time to rest, but they have shown high energy levels in all the matches played,” he added.

Asante Kotoko secured a narrow 1-0 win over Holy Stars at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on Sunday, March 23, 2025.

The victory extends Kotoko’s lead at the top of the table to four points, with 45 points, after second-placed Bibiani Gold Stars drew with third-placed Hearts of Oak.
