    Popular Ghanaian YouTuber Wode Maya shared a remarkable encounter during his travels in North Africa, revealing that he and his driver were stopped by Algerian police.

    But once he mentioned he was from Ghana, the officer reportedly smiled and let them go, name-dropping none other than Asamoah Gyan, Ghana’s all-time top scorer.

    The incident left Wode Maya stunned, giving accolades to the record African scorer in the World Cup.

    “Because of you man, we have been released,” he said.

    The encounter is a testament to Asamoah Gyan’s lasting legacy and the high regard he’s held in across the continent.
