Former Ghana captains Asamoah Gyan and Stephen Appiah are part of the Black Stars contingent for the crucial clash against Madagascar in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.

The Black Stars have already arrived in Morocco ahead of the match scheduled for Monday.

The team departed Accra on Saturday morning at 10:30 GMT and landed at Acharif Al Idrissi Airport in Al Hoceima at 16:16 GMT.

All 23 players made the trip in good condition as Ghana prepares for the crucial Group I encounter on Monday, March 24, 2025.

The team goes into the game with huge motivation following their resounding victory over Chad on Friday night at the Accra Sports Stadium.

Black Stars Management Committee Chairman Dr Randy Abbey and Vice Chairman Stephen Appiah led the delegation, with legend Asamoah Gyan also travelling with the squad.

A win for the Black Stars on Monday will be crucial for Coach Otto Addo’s side, ensuring that they improve their chances of qualifying for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

Madagascar, only trailing Ghana by two points in the Group I standings, will also be keen on earning the three points to retake the top spot.
